Ben Harclerode, P.E.

Licensed Engineer

Ben Harclerode is a licensed engineer at Aqueous Engineering.

Ben graduated Cum Laude with his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas - one of the only Christian-based universities with a science and technology focus in the entire country. Ben is a Colorado transplant to East Texas from the town of Cortez, Colorado. Following his 2013 graduation, Ben moved back to his hometown of Cortez and worked for Trautner Geotech (Durango, CO) as a graduate geotechnical engineer. While at Trautner, Ben became proficient at numerous methods of soil sampling and testing procedures.

In 2014, Ben joined the team at Aqueous. Since then, he has worked on aquatics projects across the state of Texas and in many neighboring states in the South. Ben has worked on aquatic projects that involve pool renovations, waterpark designs, and even elevated pools on high-rise buildings.

Growing up in Colorado, Ben developed a love for the "great outdoors." He enjoys mountain biking the East Texas terrain, fishing in the many area lakes, and game hunting. Ben is an avid snowboarder and occasionally visits the Rocky Mountains to visit family and friends, and to enjoy the winter sports the mountains offer. Ben also enjoys working on his 1984 Jeep CJ7 in his free time.

One of Ben's passions is traveling and exploring new places. He's had the opportunity to visit several countries but two of his favorites so far have to be Spain and Guatemala.  Along with traveling, Ben loves to utilize his engineering knowledge to impact global missions. Ben has represented Aqueous Engineering and LeTourneau University by using his education and experience to provide sustainable water technologies to remote villages in sub-Saharan Africa. In 2016 Ben was fortunate to travel to the Western African country of Senegal to work along LeTourneau University professors overseeing research in water quality projects.

Ben is also quite active in the Tyler/East Texas community and is currently, or has previously, been involved in the following activities:

- Involved in Young Life Christian Ministries in the Tyler area.

- Currently serves as a Young Life Leader for John Tyler High School (Tyler)

- Has volunteered as a youth soccer coach for the Tyler Soccer Association.
