Northshore Austin
Aqueous Engineering is honored to have been a part of an incredibly unique project in the Austin area – the GreenWater development. GreenWater is part of the Seaholm District in Downtown Austin. Formerly the Thomas C. Green Water Treatment Plans, the site is bounded by Shoal Creek to the west, the 2nd Street alley to the north, San Antonio Street to the east, and Cesar Chavez to the south. Through a competitive bid process, the City of Austin selected the Trammell Crow Company as the Master Developer for the redevelopment of the old treatment plant. Trammell Crow and partners will develop 1.7 million square feet of mixed-uses including residential, office, hotel and retail spaces.
As part of this unique and massive development, Aqueous Engineering was hired as consulting engineer for a pool atop one of the luxury residential towers in the development, Northshore Austin. The pool resides on an outdoor amenity deck and overlooks downtown Austin and its ever-growing skyline. This pool is unique in that it has an infinity edge feature that spills into an adjacent, attached fountain. The suction piping for the pool is actually located within the fountain but was cleverly concealed by black, Mexican beach stone for a clean, welcoming “feel.”
For years, Aqueous has been amazed at the continued growth in the capital city. We’re certainly proud to have been a part of that growth.
