James Harling is an Engineer-in-Training at Aqueous Engineering. A transplant from Perkasie, Pennsylvania, James moved to East Texas to attend LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas. While attending college, he was able to serve in numerous ways through both the university and his church in Longview. From going on international mission trips to numerous construction projects, James’ passions for working with his hands and serving others were both thriving during his college years. While at LeTourneau, he was a member of a senior design team working directly with Aqueous to create a design tool for use with lazy rivers. Through this team, he was able to meet Bryan and Ben and catch a glimpse of the work they do. Within a few months, he joined the team at Aqueous and has been enjoying the experience ever since.
James enjoys mountain biking, camping, and hiking among the East Texas pines. If he’s not outside or in the office, you’ll probably find him in a coffee shop satisfying his constant craving for a good cup of coffee. James also loves a good project. He spent much of his high school days building instruments, furniture, or fixing his first truck. To this day, any excuse to build something or fix a broken-down machine peaks his interest.
James continues to be involved in various service opportunities, in recent years, he’s had the joy of serving in the following areas:
-Construction project manager for Next Step Ministries in Colorado Springs.
-Disaster-response team for Hurricane Laura in Sulphur, Louisiana.
-Serving with the youth and college ministries at his church in Longview.
