Engineer-in-Training

Gui was born and raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil. His dad was a civil engineer that taught him to love the profession from a young age. As most Brazilians, he grew up as a passionate soccer fan. After graduating high school, Gui moved to the US to attend Cedarville University (Cedarville, Ohio) where he continued his education and love for the beautiful game of soccer. He earned several awards for his athletic performances and led his team as one of the captains during their record breaking season. Off the field, Gui served as a discipleship group leader, youth ministry camp counselor, and kid’s soccer coach. He also served on several missions trips to Brazil and Europe.

Gui was able to unite his passion for ministry and engineering his senior year when he worked for Samaritan’s Purse helping design and construct their first mobile water treatment plant used in disaster relief around the world. He graduated with a B.S. in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structural Engineering in May 2022.

Gui enjoys sports and the outdoors which is one of the reasons why he moved away from the cold Midwest to East Texas. If not in the office or playing pick-up soccer games around town, you can find him at a park reading a theology book, enjoying a good cup of coffee, or at a cookout with friends. While at Cedarville, Gui met his wife Mackenzie and they were married Summer 2022. Feel free to send him all of your good marriage advice!
